Okay, this problem has been around for me for quite awhile, but I’ve made due (more on that later), but now I just want to see if there’s a way to negate the problem all together.
It’s simply this, when Unity refreshes something, it takes an insanely long time. Say, I edit a script and then come back to Unity. No matter how simple the change, it takes forever to refresh the script (re-compile?). Even just creating a new script IN THE INSPECTOR takes forever.
The only way around this that I’ve found is to disable any internet connections I have running and then mess with Unity. This drastically decreases the problem, gone or not I don’t know, but it’s much better without any internet connection. This has gotten to be quite a pain, as using the internet with Unity has started to be more to my advantage.
I’m just wondering why it takes a long time for me to do almost any scripting, and if there is a way to fix it. It’s was fine way back in 2.6.1 but then it came and struck that version. Then it traveled through to Unity3. I just want it gone…![]()
