Unity extremely laggy (unusable)

Hello,
Since I installed Unity3D on my Ubuntu computer (16.10 and now 17.04) Unity3D is so laggy that I just can’t use it, just after adding few cubes or similar objets.
I’m currently on a project that is working well on a Surface Book, but with only 2fps on linux.

Intel core i7 5930K (using microcode driver)
Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 (Using proprietary driver)
Unity 5.5.2f1

Do you have any idea why?

Two quick questions, does other OpenGL tests run ok? Have you tried to build and then ran a test without editor

Thank you for your answer.
Glmark2 benchmark: Perfectly fine
When building and running the game without the editor, everything is fine too but It’s a disaster when editing the map.
Running the program in the editor seems to be OK but the map is just a test map with few cubes and planes, nothing else

Hi

That’s weird, I have almost your same HW config:

i7 + Geforce GTX 960M + Linux Mint 17

And I can use the Editor just fine (it has its bugs, but I can work with it).

Are you maybe using a laptop with dual graphic card? If not properly configured, it will use the low-power card (intel usually)

If that is your case, you could check first if you are using the Nvidia card or not:
