Yes.
A lot of mobile users have been having problems, and even moreso since the update. It’s been brought up numerous times. I thought a mobile version was in the works, but nothing has been released as of yet.
I wouldnt need this much if I could just watch the embedded videos in the forum on my ipad. Most annoying thing for me.
I know mobile usage for the forums isn’t the best, I spend a lot of time checking things when I’m no at work on my iphone and it’s a pain. If enough people want it, I can try and push for investigating a solution.
This forum uses vBulletin, if I’m not mistaken, with which it is incredibly easy to set up a mobile version of the forum.
I believe rab is right, vBulletin, I’m fairly sure having worked with it once, is pretty easy to make mobile friendly. Just takes a bit of time. Right now, the forums are horrificly bad on mobile. My biggest pet peeves are:
When you’re on the home page of Unity, and I click on the button that opens the sidebar and scroll down, the sidebar closes. Does this happen to anyone? Can’t get to the forum unless I type it into the address bar. And its REALLY annoying to zoom in all the time.
Setting up a mobile version of vBulletin (i presume they have one) is not the issue. The issue are the customizations added to integrate the forum in UDN and other systems Unity might have.
Even before UDN the forums were not ideal to use on mobile, and there was no mobile version then either. Sure, it will be more difficult to implement it with UDN, but a good chunk of the forum-goers use the forums on their phones, from regular users to mods. It would make it a whole lot easier for everybody. I was having a problem on my phone today that made it so I couldn’t even post. It took me to a blank advanced editor. If there is one thing these forums need, it’s a mobile-friendly version.
Making a mobile version of the forums is one thing (or at least making them more mobile-friendly, since I find that typical “mobile” version of sites are often overly-limited and annoying), but making an app as a web interface I think is always a bad idea for forums.

I brought this up ages ago, see here.

Also Ackbar still has admin to his name? don’t get my hopes up like that guys :L
What about a mobile forum with the meta tag for a webapp?
It will make Unity a standalone process rather than being part of Safari if added to the home screen.
<meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-capable" content="yes" />
An app would be amazing.
I don’t believe that an app would be a good investment for Unity. It is not necessary. A mobile version would be great though.
I have no problem posting this or browsing the forum from my phone
That would be amazing.
And yeah as everyone else has said, atleast a mobile version.
When I respond to a post if I try move where I am typing it zooms in REAAAL close and is just a pain.
DING DING DING, we have a winner, this is what makes everything a pain to change on the community site in general. Yes we are on vBulletin but it’s some weird customisation with lots of different systems feeding in and out of it unfortunately.
Same, I use a Galaxy S3 as my personal phone and it browses them flawlessly. Other devices I use for testing do as well. I haven’t tried on an iDevice however.
