Unity freezes and locks system, needs to hard reboot

Hi,

I’m using Unity 3D v3.4 on Windows 7. Certain features of the editor will completely lock my computer up, first Unity stops responding then shortly after it locks my mouse and keyboard. I can only get past it by hard rebooting my comp from the power switch. I’ve tried reinstalling the client and updating my graphics drivers to no avail.

From what i can tell so far anything that involves: Materials, Physics and Animations causes the locks but i’m going to assume its not limited to this.

Has anyone else had this issue (and found an answer)?

I have a generation 5th Radeon (5750 i think) and 4GB of RAM.

Hi there,

That issue sucks. All I know is that probably this week, and else next week, version 3.4.1 will come out which will be significantly more stable on Windows. Hopefully this will fix it.
