I bought a new laptop this year to game and dev on, and I’ve installed up to Unity 5.2.3f1 on it (64 bit.) Unity runs fine, not slow at all, comes up quickly, but if I ever try to move or resize a pane (e.g.: console, scene, properties, etc) Unity freezes up and I have to end the process and relaunch it. The only place I’ve seen people talking about freezing during resizing is for Linux, which doesn’t help me. I’ve tried a few suggestions from a few other posts, such as fixing issues in the registry, reinstalling, making sure my graphics card driver is up to date, reinstalling Unity. I’ve also tried starting a brand new project from scratch to see if it was settings, and it still locks up. My desktop does not suffer from this problem.
So long as I never resize a pane it’s not a problem, but being stuck with the panes the way they are makes it very difficult to be productive. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone know how to prevent it from locking up?
