Unity gets free advertising at the Tour de France

On Lance Armstrong’s bike, the tube under the seat has the word UNITY. I had to poke around a bit to find out if it was really our Unity. It wasn’t.

So why post a topic about it if it wasn’t from this Unity?

Unity Definition & Meaning | YourDictionary

what about it??

  1. Why not?
  2. Maybe the Unity company would like to see how the name looked on a bike?
  3. Maybe some user would see the word on the bike and be curious about it, well I have just done them a favor and figured it out for them.
  4. Maybe the Unity company would like to be informed about all the free advertising they are getting. Like I mentioned in the subject line.

But it isn’t them. So they are not getting advertised.

Because we can all see a 3x4 inch word unity as he is racing down a road.

Im actually wearing one of his bracelets.

I have a livestrong bracelet, and a sloth braclet. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sure they are being advertised, albeit inadvertently. Maybe 5% who see the Unity sticker will probably search for “Unity” on the web. 100% of those people will see Unity game engine as a result of that search since it is the first “Unity” to come up in google search.

Which is depending on the country you are searching from. In my case (from Germany) the first entry in google is unitymedia.de, which is a TV-, internet- and phoneprovider over here. Well yes, Unity3d.com is just the 2nd entry, but I can hardly imagine anyone trying out this engine because of this tiny advertisement in TV (which wasn’t even meant for the engine as well).

Awesome work, but my GT240 1GB card had some noticeable lag!

lol, wrong forum?

That is pretty cool. Ihave seen a word unity used on many places.

shh maybe because unity is an actual word…

Yeah Lance had some lag too. He finished 4th yesterday. Maybe I’ll combine some of the landscape for tomorrows race
