Hi!
Every time I change an, even small, bit of code on Rider and come back to Unity’s editor, the editor hangs and I get the Mac’s beach ball. The project is pretty light and I’m on a powerful i9 32gb ram mac.
This is taking me time, and breaking the flow of making changes, a lot.
Is there anything I could check, change, that could improve this hanging time?
Thanks!
Have you tried it on an empty project with a single script? Does it happen there as well?
Good point @Dextozz , thanks for the idea! I just tried on a new project with a single script and it switches very fast from Rider to play on Unity, must be my project then.
Maybe I need to optimize something in my code, scene, maybe I need a more powerful machine, I don’t know. I can live with it for now, anyways. No big deal.
This might help? Kinda a lot of work, but if you’ve got time on your hands, might as well try it:
