In May 2024, I bought asset “A” for $20. After a while, I bought asset “B” for $20. During the payment, an incomprehensible failure occurred in the Unity Asset Store and instead of asset “B”, asset “A” was re-purchased. That is, I bought asset “A” twice. I wrote to technical support about this with a request to cancel the second purchase and return $20. This was accomplished. I got $20 back. But they deleted asset “A” from my library. But it has already been purchased before. I’ve already paid $20 for it!
I wrote to technical support on May 30, 2024 (#1866127) and still have not received any response (more than 3 months!!!). I wrote a repeat appeal on August 20 (#1925685) and again completely ignored.
Does this mean that I should forget about it and give unity $20?
I do not know where else to write to solve my problem.
Support is often not fast, especially if they closed a ticket… but, you should get it sorted by writing to them with both invoice numbers, explain the story like you have here. So proof you paid for A, somehow bought A again, got a refund on A for one, but now the asset is gone from your list… which isnt right…
months does seem to be a normal wait time.
My request to technical support is more than detailed. All dates and order numbers are indicated. I received an automatic message that my application will be reviewed within 2 months. But 4 months are coming soon. My ticket is still open. I need to work with an asset and I’m in limbo. It is possible to buy asset “A” again, but this means that I will give unity the $20 I spent last time. It’s not a lot of money, but such trifles create a negative attitude towards the company.
i seem to recall i got a auto response saying 1 month and it was nearer 3… so.
I do appreciate the problem though - if you used the asset in a previous project, you could just copy it from there? admittedly it wouldnt include updates, but it would maybe tide you over, similarly if you downloaded it but never installed it the package would be in your cache if you never cleared ti out
Everything happened so fast that I didn’t even have time to use the asset)))
There’s nothing left to do but wait.
oh, thats a shame, i hoped your “after a while” was long enough you used it or something…
