Unity Hub listed 2019.3.0f5 as an official release (stable build). Why?

Unity hub listed 2019.3.0f5 as an official release, so I installed it and updated my VR project, but now my project is completely broken. When I try to downgrade back to 2019.2.2f1, it says “downgrading not supported”. After checking into it, I found that 2019.3.0f5 was a beta release. Why was it listed as a stable release in Unity Hub?

  1. 2019.3.0f5 is listed as a pre-release, not an official release,
  2. never downgrade a project.

All you have to do is get back to the version you backed up before upgrading to 2019.3.0f5 and everything will be all right.

My unity hub doesn’t have it under “pre-releases”. It was the first option under “latest official release”.

So now after updating to Unity Hub 2.2.2 (was on 2.2.1), it shows it under pre-releases. Why did it show as a stable release in Unity Hub 2.2.1? I don’t see anything in the release notes for 2.2.2 about them correcting erroneous release statuses.
