Hello Guys. I am making a FPS for my game. I think I know how the animations are set up. So the way I worked is: Animated the character with all the guns in on maya scene, then I separated animations in small clips and I got some basic animations. Im using legacy coz I need to animate gun. Until now I havent had problems… Everything is working as expected. Now I want to make the player arms rotate up and down depending in the camera angle. I dont reallly know how to achieve this. As I said Im using legacy animations and I know there is a way to achieve this but I was unlucky. Now I think I found
something but Im still not sure whether thats the right thing to do. So basically I surfed the net and found IK system. There are some free assets and paid ones and I want to know if its possible to make this happen with IK system. HOW I THINK THIS IS GOING TO BE DONE:
1-- Assign IK to the hand
2-- IK gameobject pivot is going to be not in the center but in the charater.
3-- When the camera rotates the IK gameobject is going to be rotated along the camera and thats how the player’s hands are going to be rotated without losing their shape.
PLEASE I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP COZ MY FAV PART IS CODING AND I REALLY NEED TO GET OUT OF ANIMATION SIDE.
