I am Hong Konger. When my colleagues was installing Unity with the newest update yesterday, he found that “Hong Kong” can’t not be found in the “State of residence”. But it’s under China and become “Xianggang”. It’s factually wrong. Hong Kong isn’t a state in China. It’s a Special Administrative Region (SAR). We feel offended by this adjustment.
We hope Unity’s officer can notice this post. And we hope it can be changed back to it as before.

It is weird that the Unity survey lists Hong Kong as Xianggang under China, but in the forum, it lists it in the country list as normal:
I really hope Unity could put Hong Kong back into the country list in the next release.

Perhaps a hit game using Unity could force them to review? That’s how we made it onto the Universal Studios map. It’s hard to ignore a country that clean sweeps the oscars.
