unity IOS purchase error!

Just tried to purchase unity IOS, inserted the billing address and all the details but when i clicked submit it gives a message which says something like bank info was correct but had an avs error :S
Sent me no email no confirmation I tried couple of more time, thought i wrote the address wrong or the credit card number, now when i check my visa account i got charged over 1500+ wth.
I am currently overseas and trying to get it touch with their tech support is hell, I emailed, called even tried the int number nothing so far. Calling it self is costing me a bunch.
I really hope they can fix it soon, I need my credit card >.<
any ideas what i should do? if i call card company they will prolly take 3-4 days to fix it

i would say to be safe, call your card company… and tomorrow in the morning(American continent time) try to get in touch with unity support again

It seems you hit an oddity in how our payment gateway handles three specific errors.

This caused our system to think, that the payment had not been authorized, yet it was.
However, it had only put holds on the funds (an authorization), and not yet withdrawn (captured) them from your account.

We have reversed the holds on the credit card, and added code to handle those specific errors.

Thank you Martin

I think I got the same problem. Bank has the money on hold, Unity did not get data of the transfer until the first day at least which I got an email reply to mine, my bank said that I need data of the bank that Unity is working with or wait for 15-30 days to pass and then they will release the funds. I just got a screen saying that something went wrong but Unity is aware of the problem. If you have any addtional steps for me to follow I would be thankful.

Yes, it is in fact the same problem you have hit.

We have implemented code to automatically reverse the authorization when it happens, however, for some reason our payment gateway is not allowing us to do it for your transaction.

I’m communicating with them currently, to clear up the issue.

Update: After a bit of digging, I have found out that you are not affected by the problem described above.

Our economy system rejected your purchase, so the amount was credited back to you, but there is a delay between us crediting the amount to your card, and it actually getting through to the banks.

You are x1000 times handier than the sales people. Thanks!
