Unity IPhone Apps Being Rejected by Apple?

A disturbing story recently appeared on The Unofficial Apple Weblog website claiming that Apple has started rejecting Unity-built iPhone apps en mass, out of concern that the Unity iPhone Engine might be allowing Unity developers to make certain API calls that could potentially be use to collect personal information about the end user.

Can anyone confirm this?

Also, if this is true, what is the current state of the Unity iPhone Engine? And how will this affect developers looking to release any apps in the near future?

Also, how does this affect the current discount deadline on Unity iPhone Basic available to paid Unity Indie users? (Is it even safe to invest in it at this time?)
