I just got a new serial number from Unity support and entered it through internet activation like last time. However, this time, after the installer says the product has been activated, it asks to activate product again. No matter how many times I enter it, it will not completely authorize. Unity support told me to use manual activation but I got the same result. Re-installing has had no effect as well. I’m completely stumped and have received no response from support about this issue and my trial days are being eaten up. Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry to hear support hasn’t gotten back to you yet. I know there has been an influx of support queries this week so we might be a little backed up.
Unfortunately I don’t have any suggestions, but I will ping support about your issue directly.
Hi,
Apologies that you have not had a response from us, could you confirm the email address that you purchased Unity with? (maybe in a PM to me if you don’t want it to be public) that way I can look up the case and make sure your email address isn’t getting filtered.
as for the problem,
Let’s try this:
1.Uninstall Unity
2.Delete this file:
- Win: C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Pace Anti-Piracy/License Files
- Mac: HD/Library/Application Support/PACE Anti-Piracy/License Files
- Restart
- Download Unity again from our website, since your original install might be corrupt.
http://unity3d.com/unity/download - Reinstall and test
If this does not work, can you please explain what you is happening? Do you get an error message or does it install but crash? Please provide as many details as possible.
i got an email from support with a new serial that works, thanks for the help. Definitely going to buy Unity when my funds permit me to do so.
