I just upgraded from unity 1.02 to unity ipone 1.5, (or at least I think so), but I still see 1.02 version when I go to unity > about unity.
I also tried installing 1.03 first and then 1.5, but I still seem to stay on 1.02, at least this is what it shows. All the installations were successful. Am I missing something?

Mine says Version 1.5.0f3 (26882)
Something odd is going on there 
If it doesn’t say 1.5, it’s not upgraded. You probably haven’t ejected the disk images for the other versions, so the installer gets confused or something.

I never understood what these are for. You are absolutely right though, after I ejected it installed properly. I have the 1.5.0 showing up now.

Just a common format for distributing stuff on OS X, like using zip files, but more customizable.
