Trees… Unity’s poor performance at rendering large numbers of Trees. Something the engine has suffered from for a lot of years and has yet to be addressed.
Large terrain < 10 fps on mid level PC but with only low CPU/GPU usage so not limited by hardware Low terrain tree FPS but wierdly Low CPU and Low GPU usage?
Maybe I should have made a Unity TreeMark benchmarking app… maybe I should make a new one?
PS It’s 2020 and still no sign of large terrain support (to my knowledge?).
