Hi, I am self-learning Unity. I started with 2D game and plan to continue with 3D game after that. However, I am a bit worried about my future. Base in London, I have no relevent background in computer science or information technology, but it is more about social science. Can anyone share your experience in this industry about how likely I can get a job in game development after finishing my learning? Is Unity job-related saturated in London?
Thank you.
All you need is to release some small games, to build portfolio. Then after few years you will become attractive to larger companies.
Also (additionally), if you at education, it is good time for you to get intership / placement as junior developer. Ideally 1/1.5 year. UK has great placement opportunities for students. Then finish education and get a proper job, with decent experience.
