I just installed the personal version of Unity, i rebooted my pc and clicked on the desktop icon, but all i get is a loop of flashing black screens and a loading bar that goes up and down, i already reinstalled the whole thing twice but nothing
No, while searching around the internet for solutions i just let it go in the background and after ~10 minutes nothing happened, one thing i didnt mention is that the very first time it actually worked, i got to the login screen, logged in with google and then that stuff started happening, but now, after multiple fresh installs it’s not even getting that far, right now im downloading the previous version to this one, maybe that will do the trick.
Just a quick heads up, Unity’s uninstaller won’t remove everything to do with Unity. Since this appears to be a problem related to the license, you may want to manually remove the Unity license folder. It’s typically stored on the same drive as Windows in the hidden folder “ProgramData\Unity”.
Likewise there are folders left behind in “Local\Unity”, “LocalLow\Unity”, and “Remote\Unity” under “%AppData%”.
Update: I have completely uninstalled unity and erased any file or folder that had anything to do with Unity, i reinstalled and now, after logging in with google, same thing, it gets stuck on “License” and does what i showed you on video, perhaps create a unity ID instead of logging in with google?
Hurray! I created a separate Unity ID instead of google+ and it worked! Thank you Ryiah for suggesting to delete the left over files because if i didn’t do that i would still be stuck.
