Hello,
First of all, I couldn’t find the exact topic for my issue, so I selected “Web Resources” as the closest match.
The Unity Learn website is incredibly frustrating to use. The platform is extremely buggy and actually discourages users from learning Unity. Several learning paths that I finished days or even weeks ago still show as unfinished. Some badges are awarded, others aren’t, even though I’ve completed all required content for the path.
If the goal is to discourage people from learning Unity, then the current state of the website is effective. If not, please fix these issues. I cannot believe these problems are new, they must have been around for a while, which means users trying to learn your engine are simply being ignored.
Please fix these core problems. Make the tracking and achievements work as they should.
Thank you.
For an example. Why do i not get 3D Essentials, when every step is done? Also i didnt complete Essentials at June 7, but waaaaay before. But had to click myself trough it again just to get the badge, sadly with the wrong dates…
It’s actually “Web Resources” which is among others for Unity Learn. There’s also a category for “Unity Learn” which is about the content itself but your issue is with the website. I changed category/tags accordingly.
FWIW it may help switching browsers and/or turning off plugins, particularly those that “filter” ads, scripts, etc.
To be fair you shouldn’t worry too much about some digital points. What’s more important is the lessons you learn.
Given enough time you’ll be laughing that you even cared about them in the first place.
Of course you aint wrong. Learning is more important. BUT, i like the way it is, it encourages me very much. At least when it would work as it should…
I have two plugins in Firefox: Return YouTube Dislikes, which I don’t think will interfere with the page, and uBlock Origin. I’ll try disabling uBlock Origin on this website to see if it fixes my problem.
