Unity Learn videos within various tutorials cannot be played. I’m seeing console errors in my browser devtools that seem potentially related (see attached screenshots).
Here are two unrelated tutorials that I am seeing this issue on, which leads me to believe this affecting the entire Learn site (though I’m happy to be proven wrong here)
Unity + USC: Design and Publish Your Original Game (fails with DOMException for handleSource on MediaSource AND displays a 429 server error) Assets shouldn't be liabilities - Unity Learn
My device:
Chrome (latest version)
Max OS X 12.5.1 (Monterey)
Things I have tried:
hard refresh
cleared cache
cleared site data
Is this affecting other users, or is it just affecting my machine? I haven’t seen any reports of this, feel free to point me at another post if this has already been reported. I’m also not sure if this is the right forum, I couldn’t find a Unity website/learn support forum. I also reported the issue in the Unity Hub.
Have already tried clearing cookies & all site data and relogging back in. Just tried in Incognito, and videos still don’t play, and same error appears in console (also, weirdly now I see two 429 errors)
429 is supposed to mean “Too Many Requests” but I cannot think how I would have exceeded any rate limit by just watching course videos at a normal pace, so it seems there may be some issue. (Or possibly the 429 is an unrelated issue)
Notably it isn’t even showing a spinner or trying to load the video. Clicking does nothing.
Hi, in Unity Learn on some videos i see the “Cookie” button saying: This content is hosted by a third party provider that does not allow video views without acceptance of Targeting Cookies. Please set your cookie preferences for Targeting Cookies to yes if you wish to view videos from these providers.
But if i press the button, nothing is happening, and i can’t seem to find a way to enable? the required cookies? (All videos on Unity Store play just fine, and as far as i remember i haven’t turned off anything cookie related)
Using Chrome on Win 10.
Facing this issue as well. See logs on attached files. Tried on incognito mode as well, still not working. It was working fine yesterday. Also tried to deactivate all chrome extensions.
