Unity Licensing Usage Question

Real quick question: does the Unity license/InterLok allow 1 purchased license of Unity to run on multiple computers un-concurrently? What I would like to do is have the main development machine and then 1 or 2 machines with lower specs that I can test it on for speed, screen, etc. Please let me know; I will probably finally buy a copy (been using off and on since beta) within the week if it isn’t too lok-ed down (bad pun).

I believe they allow for two concurrent machines, for one developer.

But in your scenario you would simply build the executable on your development machine and test it on as many other machines as you wish.

Yeah you only want to test the builds, which you can export to whereever you wish.

Yeah, I was thinking about the building option, but it’s much easier to tweak textures and model qualities on the testing machine than to have to keep building. Anyway, someone from OTEE, please let us know for sure.

This way of using Unity is perfectly acceptable. And nice to see you around again, I had almost forgotten about you.

What are you up to with Unity?

Thanks for the info. Right now with Unity, I am up to an independent study project to create a game with Unity, hence my need to finally purchase a copy. Hopefully this project will turn out good enough to be something that I can use for my “portfolio” and possibly you guys can showcase it as a full game made with Unity. I don’t want to give away too much; the game is a very non-traditional genre. Thanks for asking and I’m sure you all will see and hear more as it comes along.

Also, my little brother happens to be spending a semester abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark right now, so it’s a small world after all. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
