Unity new conditions, unacceptable

I have just received the message about an update of new Unity conditions and i cant believe it, they force developers to collect players their personal data and of course make them know they are taken their data. We dont have choice to reject this, there is just an Accept button and that is it. For sure if i was not already Unity developer would never use this software. But then i wonder in what Unity versions they have already included this, i have the Unity 2019.2

Meh!

Also they dont mention what variety of technical information is collected, how can we say to players what we dont know?

It states to read the applicable FAQs and their Cookie Policy.

They say it after that what is collected

So your question was answered with a little more reading.

You didnt read it too  Cookies link was for other thing

None of this changes the fact that what data is collected is right there and all you had to do was read.

And you look for people to try to annoy? have a life and get fun in other way

Is this anything new? I thought the unity editor and builds had been grabbing these analytics all along (or for the last several years, at least)- with the option to turn-it-off for builds if you have Pro. I never really paid much attention to that feature, though.

You did not start a thread to have fun, but instead to complain about something that you didn’t even bother to finish reading.

Probably, i didnt read the whole, well cant be said agreement, cause i cant really disagree, there is just the accept option. But from what i read so far there is not any Unity version which they say its applied this, so probably its in all versions.

And obviously i didnt need to finish reading to complain. I made a mistake in my second commentary not the first one, is that so important to you? Ok i did a mistake saying that, are you ok now? stay calm now

The phrasing of the Unity terms may be updated, but this is all old news. You needing to state 3rd party data collection in your own privacy policy is actually a requirement in many developed countries, and Unity stating your existing legal obligations in their own terms is really just a courtesy and changes nothing. Unity’s data collection in your own builds is a well known feature, is discussed on the forums and in the manual, and has existed for a very long time. You needing to disclose that to your users is nothing new, and nothing Unity is actually imposing on you.

If you’re not already doing so, you should be thanking Unity for making you aware at this time instead of criticizing them for it. Carry on the bickering though.

Obviously if you take data from users is required by law from many countries, the problem is that Unity takes players data no matter if developer agrees or not so you must inform players about it. It is not a well known feature, i have been using Unity since 2012 and this is the first time i hear it. If they were implementing this it was illegal cause they would be stealing data from players without permission from developer and the players as it would not be stated in the terms of service of game as developer didnt even know.

If you have Plus or Pro you can disable hardware stat collection, so, you know, wrong again.

Seriously? Well, if you like Unity hides you they were taking personal information good for you

Actually it’s not super clear if you can completely disable all collection, my best guess is that some collection happens regardless, but less than with the checkbox being off.
