Unity not creating animation for certain FBX object

Now this is just vexing. I made a hanging lantern model in Blender and rigged it up exactly as I normally do, exporting it with the exact settings I always use, and with the same import settings in Unity, but it refuses to create an animation file within the FBX.

I made something almost exactly the same before it, with all the same stuff, and that worked just fine. It’s just this one object that Unity refuses to work with, which makes absolutely no sense.

The hell?

I had to delete the original armature and make an entirely new one in order to solve the issue. I wonder what was wrong with the first?
