I’m running Pop Os and have been using unity for a few weeks now with VS code.
Then I deleted unity hub and installed it through Pop shop so that it would show in the software center, everything works perfectly other than when I choose a external script editor and try to open a c# script, then unity prompts for installation of VS code through flatpack.
I have tried to locate the executable for VS code also, but can’t find it.
Installing Unity through unofficial packages is not recommended. If you want good desktop integration then I advise you to download the official Unity appimage and install it using AppImageLauncher.
No matter how you install Unity, installing VS Code through flatpak will not work, Unity won’t see it. More information about that here .

If it is from official source it should not create any kind of probelems .
