Unity not opening projects.

I’m using the most recent version of Unity. (Windows 10 x64) When I try to open a project, (Any project, including new ones made from the launcher,) the launcher closes, the Unity Process stays on the task manager (Not as an application) and the project never opens. Any help or potential fixes would be very helpful. No error message is displayed.

I wonder if Unity is hanging when it tries to get online and call home? Maybe disconnect internet and try to open Unity, and see if that jiggles it into a different state.

That did not seem to resolve the issue

Well, drat.

Can you create a new project?

I cannot, the same problem occurs.

When you disconnected the internet, did Unity notice?

Yes, it told me that there was no internet connection, and I had to work in offline mode

I wish I could tell you what’s wrong. I guess the next thing I’d do is pick a small, unimportant project, erase the library, and see if Unity gets far enough along to rebuild the library.

Just got around to trying that, didn’t work either.

Well, there are a variety of issues users have had with Unity on Windows 10. I wouldn’t have any idea which would be affecting you. You can search for them in the forum if you haven’t already.

A possible solution is to re-install Unity.

I’ve done that a few times now. I’ll try it again, I guess. But I doubt it’ll work. I’ll start looking through all of the other posts.
