Hi all, a customer want his Unity project shown on a 3D-screen in a infosenter, sounds really really cool !!!.. but where to start?
is there done any projects on this before? do Unity support this in any way? is there any software or hardware I should take a look at? special script for camera rigging? do it exist any tutorials?
did you make any progress on your 3d monitor research? what kind of monitors are you working with? i have a zalmann 3d screen which works with interlaced images and filter glasses.
there is e.g. http://www.iz3d.com/ for some stereoscopic drivers, maybe thats enough if you are on win…
in theory you take two cameras, interlace both images, render them to the output camera. maybe the driver takes care of this already if you use opengl/directx stuff anyway.
this is the 3D monitor he gone use, and he gone use 4 of them working together as one.
and here he found his testmaterial, working greate om his monitor
no I havent had much progress but next week I gone talk with someone from Hyundai, maybe they can lead me in the right direction. anyhow I gone use the weekend to read more on the topic.
I have worked with 3D monitor one time before, then we hade to render out the animation from 8 different cameras and when finish the movie didnt look much 3D after all (but it was a 3D monitor without glasses and some years ago)
