unity package

something odd here.
transferring an unity package from a PPC to an INTEL mac.
I am getting an unknown file format when I try to open.
Is this a bug?

ok, just got home now. it’s not PPC / INTEL
it’s the actual package to be corrupted when generated.
why is that?
is there any general rule on what not to package?

My idea was to put all of a scene into a prefab and package that, to transfer just the assets which are used, to make a skinnier project.

Is there a better way?

This has happened to me before, and it’s usually because I think it has finished packaging so i copy the file, when it actually hasn’t finished the process yet.

When packaging assets… wait until OSX opens the finder window that shows you the package. Dont assume (like me) that when Unity finishes doing its stuff it’s actually finished.
