Unity paid assets for free

Hi everyone. I have a question I want to ask. My friend bought a asset from the unity asset store a while back, yesterday he gave me a download link to the asset and now i got it for free. The question is. Is it legal if I use those assets in my game and later sell that game. Since i got them for free, am I allowed to use them in commercial purposes. I hope to get an answer soon. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

And it’s not just illegal to use it in your own games. It’s illegal to have downloaded it in the first place.
