Hi everyone, just wondering if there’s a roadmap for the ML-Agents packages in Unity? There’s a whole bunch in preview, that I’d like to start using in a production environment if they’re going to be verified in the near future. Especially 2.0!
We currently do not have a date for a verified release. Since ML-Agents relies on Python code for training, it will take a long time to get the proper verification. We have had users having success in using ML-Agents in production/released games already. Note that all future 2.X versions will be backwards compatible with v2.0 for the C# API (there will not be C# API breaking changes until version 3.0)
The 2.0.0 version of ml-agents has gone through the internal verification process and will be released with the 2021.2 Editor. Users will be able to download the 2.0.0 version from that version of the editor and get bug fixes during the LTS cycle for 2021LTS. The release date for 2021.2 is still up in the air, but you can expect it sometime in the fall.
