Unity Pro and iOS trial

Hello

I’ll apologize in advance for the newbie question, sorry.

I have been using Unity Indie on WIndows for the past few months as a hobby, and just decided to give the iPhone trial a go, since I recently bought a macbook.

I downloaded and installed Unity 3.0 trial from the website (which says it includes the iOS trial), but after installation, I don’t have an option to start the iOS dev app…only the regular Pro trial.

I’m wondering if I need to be an iOS dev through Apple first, and have the SDK installed before I can start the iPhone Unity application. I know I need to be a dev for a lot of functionality to work, but wasn’t sure if I should see the icon at least to start Unity iPhone strictly with the trial loaded.

Thanks for any insight into what I’m missing here.

With Unity 3 all of it is combined into one application. So to build for iphone just go into Unity 3 and under build settings click on iphone and then hit switch platform.

Thanks!

I just downloaded the trial and can’t build for iOS. It says my license doesn’t cover iOS publishing in Build Settings dialog…

Then its not the pro trial but the free unity (install is the same but on the activation page its a different option)

Uh…what can I do to fix that?

Wait…actually I read this in the activate page “You have already been issued a Unity Pro trial serial on 07 Apr 2011.” It says Unity Pro…

Are you on OSX or windows? IOS isn’t available on windows

Of course I am in Mac OS X… :stuck_out_tongue:

Sooo…any help on this please?? I seriously want to use Unity3d for iOS dev, but first I need to evaluate it, but I can’t…
