If I purchase unity pro then will I be able to develop an AAA game for android or iOS and other platforms?
Are the android and iOS add ons a must to develop AAA games for mobile.
Does unity pro support android basic,iOS basic

You can make mobile games now with Unity free for iOS (given you have a mac) and Android.
Pro will only give you the pro features.
Take a look at that and it should solve your answers or better yet open Unity and ⌠go to Help â About Unity and you will see in the bottom right corner what you have License access too.
But android and iOS will be basic not pro
correct

Really the only thing you wonât have access to is Pro Water (You can still use it) YOu just canât get Refraction and Reflection. And the Image Effects, thatâs really all about it.
Thereâs a couple other things, they are important, but not really so much for making stuff Look Good.
Really that all is up to how good you are with your Art.
It depends on game/project, but i canât imagine doing anything serious on mobile without these Pro features (render to texture, static batching, soft shadows, light probes, occlusion culling, navmesh stuff and PROFILER).
Iâve never had a need for Render to texture⌠(Static batching would be nice) but you can work around that if you just have the time and patience lol⌠Never used Light probes, OC would be very nice to have, but again, can be manually worked around if you have the time and patience lol. I thought Nav Mash worked with free? and Profiler is a great amazing tool they should have free, itâs so important it gives unity a bad name because people donât realize their game sucks speed down until its too late lol.
Yeah!I too canât imagine doing anything without pro features
Yeah it should have been for free
If he gets Unity Pro without iOS//Android Pro, will he have that âMade with Unityâ screen when eh starts his (on mobile) game?
If I understood it correctly, you can only disable that if you have iOS//Android Pro.
Basic NavMesh stuff is free, but dynamic obstacles and etc. are pro features.
Yeah you have to have pro.
Why you want to hide unity splash screen? You are not proud of being Unity user
? Most games i have played show off engine they use.
This is why.
Maybe the player will search the web for ââwhat is unityââ then the player might make a game that might be more deadly than the game you made.So it might not make your game famous, because when I was a player not a maker
I saw a game with a made with unity splash screen .So that was the day when I got into game development,
And the person who made the game with the made with unity splash screen had a loss of one player. So if your making a good game you might no want that to happen. But if you have your own game engine you might want to boast about it!.So rather than putting a splash screen, make a credits menu and type 'âmade with unityâ'because only 1% of users will hit the credits menu
If you love unity
Because of both the fact that anyone can use Unity Free and Unity Free requires the logo. This results in low quality games that start off by advertising they were made with Unity and thus the logo tends to be associated with them.
I understand your concept, however, if it was so bad, why do AAA game companies advertise the Engine they use? You think itâs to satisfy them? Not really, unless they are under restrictions like us, which i doubt.
They want people to build games, idc who you are, if you have the time and the little bit of money to get pro, you can compete with any top end company, yeah it will take you awhile, but, just because you have a Unity logo doesnât mean they can actually create a game, it just means the options there.
I do not mind at all using Unity logo on my game, but as @Ryiah said, it does have a bad image from people who come to Unity as (Iâve just stated) doesnât mean they can create a good good, just means they can create a game (Maybe). And release crap on the market just to try an get a quick buck.
I think 99% of us on the Forums actually take our time with our games, and the people who just release crap never talk to any of us and just do it on their own.
Unity has its rights to be mentioned in the credits or where ever⌠but the splash screen is too long there for my taste⌠I personaly hate games that take 3-7 seconds to start on a mobile platform⌠and if I have 1 sec for commercials, i rather put my loge there then unity.
If unity would allow to make custom screen but force you to place their logo into that screen too⌠that would be great⌠but 2 sec for unity, and 2 sec. for my logo is just too much.
heres an asset that allows you to add your own splashscreen. works with Unity free
I donât really know what âAAAâ means, but whatever it is, Iâm sure itâs more up to the developer and their skill and their talent than itâs up to the engine.
Thereâs no âmake game awesomeâ button, and having more tools at your disposal means you need to know how to use more tools.
