Unity Pro License: Moving license file failed

I’m a licensed Unity Pro user. I just launched Unity today and got an error saying that my license had expired, so I hit “Re-activate” and got this error:

Moving file failed
Moving C:/ProgramData/Unity/Unity_v4.x.ulf to C:/ProgramData/Unity/Unity_v4.x.ulf.backup failed: The system cannot find the file specified.

However, if I navigate to C:/ProgramData/Unity, I see Unity_v4.x.ulf sitting right there, and I can open it and look at it with no issues.

What’s going on? How do I fix this?

I changed the permissions of the file to allow full access for everyone and it worked.

If a backup file has already been created, and it still gives you the error, delete the backup file and try again
