Firewall on? Are they both connected to the same wireless network? Restart both Unity and the Unity Remote?
Hi,
i think the firewall is off. I didn´t change the system config since 3-4 Months, i only update all the patches from apple.
It was running before x-mas and after then now it doesn´t work anymore.

PS: Yes All in the same network and i had restarted both.
ensure that you start unity iphone, otherwise it will not show up.
Did you recently update Unity to 1.0.1? In case of that, you would have to build and deploy the new Unity remote to your phone as there were some changs in the remote software. Just a wild guess. Maybe it helps.
Hey Petter: That firewall issue you will never forget anymore since Unite, won’t you?
hi,
no nothing. I updated all the stuff before and it worked. But i think it has something to do with the apache.
How can i check if the webstream correctly running ?
greetings

Start unity iphone, start the newly build 1.0.1 remote on your iphone 2.2 (ensure that you set the right SDK version when building it, that might have an impact otherwise as well!).
If your mac appears it worked, otherwise it did not.
It still doesn´t work. Can anyone from Unity help me?
greetings

Can you browser any other bonjour services with your device (using some other app)?
Could you file a bug report with the device type and OS version. If you report it with your Mac then we’ll also see its version, then we’ll take it from there. Please PM me the bug tracker ID so I’ll see it for sure.
I have been having the same problem. For me, the iPod was not finding the iMac (even though both were connected to the same WiFi Router).
I found that sometimes my iPod causes the router to go into a funny state and it loses communication with my modem, and I have to reset my LinkSys router. I also found that when the UnityRemote won’t connect, I can reset the router and it fixes the problem.
I realize that this may be a router problem, but I never have trouble with the router, unless I’m trying to connect with the iPod.
If it does have something to do with the iPod, it may be the same trouble you are having.
Good Luck, I know how frustrating it is chasing down such problems.
Hi Guys,
over testing with the an AdHoc network it was in the beginning not working, but now it´s works. And then it´s works again over the normal network.
Does this make any sense ?
Anyway, now i can work again with this feature ^^
Thanks everyone for help.

Good to see you resolved it. It’s not much that is as frustrating as not having the Unity remote working.
Thats for sure
I was facing this problem also. My Mini Mac was not detecting the iPhone using WiFi. I got help from this discussion.
I had to reset my LinkSys router and I got my solution. thanks to all guys for this discussion.
thanks again

I had the same problem and tired everything to fix it, and I knew it wasn’t my firewall cause it was turned off.
I found out it was an issue with my wireless router, I just unplugged my router and plugged it back it and it works!!!
Easy fix, hope this helps anyone out there.
