Unity remote driving me crazy :)

Hi,

I seem to be having problems usong unity remote, it doesnt seem to pick up my mac ? It just says “Searching for web services…”.

I’ve tried restarting the mac and my iPod touch as well as my router.

Any ideas this is really giving me a tough time trying to fix?

Unity remote doesnt seem to work with my router so I’m thinking of getting a new one tomorrow. Any recommendations? I was thinking Netgear?

there is no reason it shouldn’t work.

Its just bonjour which within the local lan should work on any network.

question is if you allowed the unity iphone editor to do any network connections to act as server

what do you mean?

I seem to be able to connect directly with my mac when networking the two directly, the problem is this means I cant use the internet while using this method.

In that case I would check if you enabled something on your router that makes it impossible for bonjour to pass around (would need to be a very strange one) or if they for some reason don’t end in the same network (first 3 letter tripples in the ip identical like 192.168.1.xxx

I tried checking the router settings but I couldnt see anything that stood out.

I also checked the first 3 letter tripples in the ip and they’re identical.

Is there anything else I could try?
