Unity Remote not connecting...help please

Hello,

I decided to give Unity 3 a try. I am an iPhone developer with os 4.1 installed on my iPhone 3gs. I downloaded Unity3 and installed the package. I installed the Unity Remote app from the App Store.

Whenever I start Unity Remote, the app sees my mac book pro but always gives a ‘Failed to Connect error’. I have read and reread the directions several times, I have re-installed Unity 3 and I still get the same error.

I am doing nothing wrong. This cannot be that difficult. From the Unity 3D users manual, it tells me to download the xcode package to create my Unity Remote app, but I cannot find the download anywhere on Unity’s site. Very frustrating! Where is it located???

How do I know I have the Unity 3 iPhone basic app installed on my system. In my apps folder, there is only the Unity app available. Is this correct? This cannot be that difficult!

the remote from the app store will not connect
its for unity iphone 1.x only

u3 has its own remote which you must compile yourself.

Thanks for the response. I downloaded the Unity Remote 3 app and compiled it to my phone but I receive the followingwhen trying to connect–Selected Platform is not supported by Unity Remote. Do you know which version of xcode and ios Unity 3D is good for? I have 4.1 installed on my phone/computer.

Thank you.

Dreamora thank you…I have everything working now!

Hi

I’m having issues with installing the new Remote for Unity on my iPhone as well. I’m assuming you have to create a prov profile to install the Unity remote on your device? What other things do you have to do to compile it successfully.

Cheers
