Unity Remote Setup

Hi

So when setting up for iPhone development I think I’m almost there. I’m up to the part in the unity help where it says build your unity remote app using xcode.

As I understand it it wants to build an app that I can use on my iPod to work with Unity.

What I have on my list is as pictured. No iPod is listed, and I keep getting that little fail message at bottom right.

On My iPod if I go Settings>General> Profile> I have a verified provisioning profile.

So where to from here? Thanks in advance.

Oh the error offered up is this one:

without knowing the error message we can’t help you.
if you click on the error at the bottom right it will tell you the error.

my guesses are:

  1. You didn’t link in your iphone provision or the certificates aren’t installed correctly
  2. Your base sdk differs from your target configuration in the drop down

that there is no ipod is no problem, iphone = ipod os wise.

just saw that you parallel posted.
The solution is simple: you need to open info.plist and rename it to something that meets your provisioning

Ahh brilliant, thank you, its working.

Off topic, is there a way to do the whole syncing thing wirelessly? I currently use the usb cable to sync with iTunes…it seems convinient to do this wirelessly, does anyone know if thats doable and Im just missing something? Cheers

Sadly no

Syncronize: only usb
Remote: only wifi

both through enforcements from apple

Well connectivity seems really bad. I only got one scene to work and now the batching and other scenes dont work on the remote at all. Often i just get the large Unity Icon, often the iPod cant find the computer (inside unity remote app at least)and my iPod just locked up for the first time. I cant imagine this being normal.

out of about 20+ attempts + creating new networks etc It only worked the first time. I saw the “Game view Press Play in Unity” screen twice though.

Is any of this expected? Cheers

Aaron

Ahh right that bluetooth sucks up the airwaves, much better now, lol
