Unity Shop downtime Thursday July 26th

We’re moving our shop server into a more secure colocation site, which means that we’ll have around one hour’s downtime tomorrow Thursday. Your trusty CEO will personally carry the MacMini to the new location and stay there until everything is working again.

The downtime starts just around 10pm CET (GMT+1) and should only last one hour. During this timeslot the shop is closed, and Unity can’t be activated on new computers.

Cheers y’all

… and you’ll find Unity 2 in the store…

It just occurred to me - when Unity 2 is on the download trial page, will there still be a download link for Unity 1?

When Unity 2.0 is out we’ll stop selling Unity 1.x, but of course current 1.x customers will be able to redownload Unity 1.6.2 in the future.

This is affecting Report Bug.app too, right?

Error from the console - “curl: (6) Couldn’t resolve host ‘secure.otee.dk’”

I’m guessing yeah.

Cheers,
-Jon

It will affect it, but it hasn’t been taken down! So this error is a mystery to me… can you “dig secure.otee.dk” ?

Edit: Seems to be working for Jonathan now, and the servers are all spinning nicely… the server move is only happening in a bit under three hours. But we’re always interested in problems like this, so thanks Jon

It’s working here…

Looks like it was a fluke from here. I’ll blame it on Qwest. You may go about your normal business, now.

Server up again now… 55 minutes of downtime.

d.

That’s great news! Thanks!

David, there appears to be an error – there’s no Unity 2 in the online store. Can you fix this ASAP please?

:expressionless:

Patience gang, patience…
