Unity should enhance their relationship with Enlighten

Ask them for an Unity specific Forge lighting editor and then sell it in the asset store for the price you or they want.

Everyone wins.

I don’t want anymore software partnerships with Geometrics.

Unity has proven that either Enlighten or the integration is crap; both of which should be of Geometric’s concern, yet they have shown they don’t really care.

Edit: It’s obvious that Unity is a second class customer to them. Unity got screwed by Geometrics.

That used to be my opinion. The problem is a certain poster said that they will go with Enlighten forward considering that they are spending all of their lighting R&D budget/resources on it so there’s no chance they drop it.

Hence this thread: allow me to use their lighting preview and authoring tool in Maya, means I don’t have to depend on Unity. Unity gets an additional selling point, Enlighten gets their money, we get our tedium free lighting workflow. Everyone wins

Well, at least for previewing… no one makes their terrain in Maya.
