Unity splitting mesh into 2 parts

Technically it doesnt hurt me, as the environment looks the same and all is well.

But I was wondering why Unity is splitting my mesh into 2 parts. I had an environment that came in before as one whole part, but just recently I added a bit more too it and Unity split it into:

  • Environment_MeshPart0
  • Environment MeshPart1

The environment Specs from Maya are below

  • Tris: 35416
  • Verts: 24328

Is there a way to RE-Combine it? I went through great pains to combine the whole environment and made a texture Atlas for it. And Unity splits it up.

Oh, and yes in Maya before export I did the following:

  • Deleted History
  • Zero’d out the translation/rotations
