Unity stuck on loading at "Apply active color space"

I’ve made new projects, and reloaded old ones and yet it still gets stuck at this point. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I’ve restarted my computer 3 times and it hasn’t fixed yet.

A simpler fix for me was to delete “Temp/ArtifactDB-lock”, then reopen the project

I encountered the same issue. Deleting the project’s Library folder seems to have fixed it.

I waited for a bit over 3 minutes and Unity started up fine eventually. Unity has a lot of issues like this one.

Had the same issue with the Unity Editor on Linux on my laptop. The issue was that the Unity Editor launched using my dedicated GPU, but the UnityShaderCompiler (responsible for “Apply active color space”) was started using the integrated GPU, which caused it to become stuck.

Disabling my iGPU caused the UnityShaderCompiler to use the dedicated GPU instead, which then worked. I hope this helps.
