Another joyous moment for the OTEE team: last week we added another great guy to the Unity team. This person is no other than Sam Kalman.
A lot of you know Sam already from the forums as Ulognep, from the Parallel Destiny game, it’s spinoff, Project Subdivision, and other projects. He’s also been working on our documentation for a while in his spare time, so if you enjoyed the docs improving in the last releases, you’ll have Sam to thank for that.
Yeah, I’ve spent the last day or so hangin’ out with Sam as he and I are here in Copenhagen at company HQ and he’s definitely another great addition to our team. Woot!
Hey, thanks a ton everybody! Many of you know I’ve been writing Unity docs for about a year now. I’m really looking forward to continually improving them as well as doing many other things to help out Unity and the customers of OTEE.
As a standing rule, if anyone ever has any suggestions about improving the documentation, let me know by email or forum PM!
Sam who? Wait, is this the guy I curse every time I can’t find what I’m looking for in the documentation? This dude seems like a liability to me.
Congratulations on the new position man! I’m glad it’s official now. The docs are actually great and getting better with every iteration, keep up the good work.
Wow, thanks everyone! It is really great to discover how much people are getting benefit out of the docs. I’ve got lots of ideas for how to improve them in the near future, and I would love to hear any suggestions. So if you have a problem that the docs or the references don’t explain, please use the bug reporting app and indicate the problem.
With my testing background, I’m very excited to bring a bit more formality to our testing processes. That means 1) better handling of user submitted bugs, and 2) a more methodical approach to our internal testing. So just assume that when you log any bug via the bug reporting app, I’ll be looking at it.
