Unity Teams Advanced Promotion

I subscribed to Unity Plus when there was an offer called “Unity Teams Advanced Promotion” which guaranteed the Unity Teams Advanced service with 3 users and 50GB of cloud space for Version Control included in the cost of the Unity subscription. The promotion guaranteed that this Unity Teams Advanced service would be maintained for life, as long as you continue to renew your Unity Plus subscription.

A few days ago I received an email from Unity with the subject “Teams Advanced final renewal” informing me that Teams Advanced will be discontinued and my promotion will be cancelled. This is a violation of the agreement made when I signed up for the subscription. It is the right of Unity to discontinue a service but they must maintain the agreement by providing those who have Unity Teams Advanced Promotion with an equivalent service. So they just need to activate on DevOps the same conditions we had at no extra cost to the Unity Plus subscription renewal price. If Unity doesn’t keep its word, how can we trust their services?

To this day customer support continues to deny this right. If you are also a Unity Teams Advanced Promotion user, let your voice be heard.

I hope Unity listens to us and proves itself as a fair company.

I’m in the same boat than you are and was confronted to the exact same answers from customer support.
I’m frankly quite disappointed if not downright angry that we are now asked to pay more to get less.
I seriously don’t think we’ll be renewing our Unity Plus subscription as its only usefulness for us is now avoiding the splash screen, a feature not worth 370€/y.

I am very disappointed with the unfair behavior of Unity that does not fulfill the promises made to maintain the conditions of the “Unity Teams Advanced Promotion” for life as long as I continue to renew my Unity subscription. If Unity has decided to retire “Unity Teams Advanced” it should keep its word by transferring the promised conditions to DevOps.
Regrettable the support operator who tried to find a way to deny me service by asking me for written proof that the “Unity Teams Advanced Promotion” was for life. But I have the proof and when I sent it to him he started making excuses. You asked me for proof and then when I give it to you, do you deny it to me? Bad and deplorable behavior.

Any progress? Its very confusing, I am trying to avoid the loss of all my Plastic SCM Projects.

This is their loophole, they are restructuring and renaming the services provided, therefore previous promotions no longer apply.

It sounds like class action lawsuit material to me, but it’s not the first time Unity pulled crap like this and got away with it.

There’s a good chance you won’t be paying more at all, since they are including 3 member seats, some storage, and free monthly build time, etc. What exactly were the conditions of this “promotion” you are talking about?
