Timeline can be used with or without VR, and it’s just another tool. You use it or you don’t - VR doesn’t change anything in this respect ![]()
IMHO do a non VR test with Timeline, learn how it works. Don’t trip over all the wires of trying juggle VR while learning timeline.
Once you’ve learned it and made a little story in Timeline (in flat non VR to keep it simple while learning), then you can just apply the same knowledge to your VR game.
Keep your life simple at this point as you learn the different parts of Unity. Don’t worry, they all fit together, but it’s pretty harsh to learn Unity VR same time as Timeline all in one go.
