I have done quite a bit iPhone/iPad project with Unity. Now I need do this it for the
google nexus. Is there somewhere a step by step guide on how to test/run your app
on your own google nexus?
So far it looks like we are still pioneering this Nexus/Android front. Google’s SDK updates change so rapid that setups that worked last week for me are no longer working on the same machine a week later with a fresh of XP, JDK, Android SDK, Unity 3.1.f4 install.
today I tried on the Mac and PC. I got it easily working on the Mac but not on the PC.
here is my step by step:
- installed Unity
- installed Android SDK (downloaded it, move to the application folder, open it and installed the sdk)
- did this: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/69870-Android-SDK-2.3-Gingerbread-regression-with-Unity-3.1
- created a project in Unity, set the camera of the the game viewport to google nexus
- connect my google nexus with usb to my mac
- build and run, and it all worked
