Unity VR App Not Exiting When Closed

I have noted that when “quitting” a Unity VR application on device via the control panel the application does not actually quit. The application will still appear in the Force Quit menu on device and re-launching the application can result in issues with entering VR immersive rendering mode as mentioned here.

Is there some sort of special handling that needs to be added to a ported VR application to close it properly?

This is likely something we’re not handling correctly on our end. We’ll reproduce locally and get it fixed.
