Unity Web Player Constantly Crashes

Hello!

This is my first time here so please be patient with me.

I have The Unity Web Player installed on my PC because my 9 year old plays games that requires it. However, in both IE and FireFox, it constantly crashes. :frowning: I send reports every time but that really doesn’t seem to do anything as far as solving my problem. Is there anything I can do so that the player will not crash?

I uninstalled it and downloaded it fresh today. So I should have the current version.

The web site he was playing on is heroup.com and I have also had the same problem at jumpstart.com.

Forgot to add that I have Vista Home Premium. A Dell Inspiron 530 with 6GB of RAM

If there is anything else about my PC you need to know, I’ll be happy to add.

Can anyone here help me?

Thank you.

This issue has been resolved.

Thanks for your wonderful support in answering my question and offering me any advice.

i usually refresh a lot

you should have added if your OS is 32 or 64 bits

Hi,

How exactly was this issue resolved for you?

Thanks,
Chris

I added in my second post that if there was anymore info about my PC that was needed, I would be happy to include it. However, I never got a reply from anyone.

Hello!

It certainly wasn’t because of any help I received from this forum. Thanks anyway!

There are such things as ‘rare bugs’. Two days is never long enough to find one, let alone fix it.

Glad you’re resolved not to help Unity fix the problem, though - it’s good to know there’s still strong-willed people in this world full of hate and resentment!

@booky,

Clearly you were frustrated and angered by running into the issue which is understandable but posting replies which come across rude to users who are trying to help you is not cool.

Using the forum for help is good and well received here but you need to be polite and also be patient because no one is obliged to help you and you have to consider that other users might not have experienced what your posting about.

Next time you post about a bug or issue or just needing help in general, I suggest being polite and very descriptive about what your asking. It’s also considered good form if you manage to resolve issues / bugs or anything by writing a reply in the thread clearly describing what you did. other users will find it useful if they happen to run into the problem.

Thanks,
Chris
