Unity web player not responding

Every time i try to play family guy online unity web players keeps failing, i keep getting a message saying unity web player extension has stopped responding, I have used multiple browsers like chrome Firefox and IE and it stops responding on all of them, I have re-installed unity web player about 13 times and i have cleared my cache multiple times.

Why isnt this working?

I can play any other game perfectly fine with no problems what so ever, But when i try to play family guy online it stops.

I have tried playing on a different computer in my house and family guy works fine so its deffinatly not family guy.

What the hell is wrong with unity?

Uh, if it works on one computer and not another, I’m tempted to suggest that perhaps - just maybe - one of the computers has a problem.

WebPlayer crashes are usually related to hardware and some specific games just happen to expose the defect, in such case we need details on your hardware, please reply with this info:

Operation system?
Processor (CPU) ?
RAM?
Graphics Card (GPU)?

Please, also include some reproduction steps. With this info I can then attempt a repro and if that’s successful we can then fix the problem.

Ram is 2048

Processor is AMD Athalon™ 64x2 Dual core processor 4400+ (2 CPU’s), ~2.2GHz

Operating system is Windows 7 home premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)

Graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 4650

There is no difference between the 2 computers at all. They both have the same Things both inside and out They are basically the exact same.

Unity stopped working about 3 months ago but since then i haven’t changed my computer in any way shape or form. My computer is exactly the same as it was 7 months ago and i always check my computer everyday for viruses or spyware. Unity just suddenly stopped working for no reason and with no explanation.

As for the steps well i click on the link for the game i want to play. Google chrome (or whichever browser i use) stops working for about 15 seconds then the browser tells me unity web player has stopped responding.

I have also tried other games which Require unity web player and the exact same problem occurs, its not just FGO but any game which requires Unity.

Same problem. I’ve played many Games. The issue is that after some period of time Plugin_container.exe stop responding. was trying to use Ram Cleaner / different video card setup / clearing Cache / uninstalling → manually deleting all Unity Content from C:\Docum… ect. → instaling new ver. / Using different Browsers Chrome - Firefox - IE8 nothing bloody hell…ps:face_with_spiral_eyes:

Working games:

  • Drakensang Online (past year)
  • Dino Storm - beta (past year)
  • City of Steam - Alfa (past year)
  • Family Guy as far i remember about year ago or more.

Games not work properly:

  • MercElite - CB (now)
  • City of Steam - OB (now)
