Unity Webplayer does NOT work offline anymore

Hey guys,

I know this topic has been discusses about 1000 times. But now - it´s strange.
My Unity Webplayer builds, do not work anymore without internet connection.
I know, that I have to have one the first time I start the WebBuild, so that everything that is needed
can be downloaded. But now:

I open the Webbuild with InternetConnection - everything works. I close it, i disconnect Internet, i launch the Webbuild, and then I get “Failed to Update Unity Webplayer”.

I also tried to deinstall Webplayer, and Install it again, I tried to delete all the Mono, Player and Loader files manually, and downloaded them again (via the webplayer) - but no chance. When there is no Internetconnection, the build does not run.

It may has to do something with the Webplayer Version: 5.0.3f2 (???)

If anybody has an advice for me I would be very very thankfull. I need it for my work, that it runs offline, and its very urgent :frowning:

Thankfully,
reppiz

Hi,

I’m having the exact same problem right now - has this ever been fixed or has someone found a solution to this?

The automatic download btw. is still delivering 5.0.3.f2.

Michael

Still the same problem? Isn´t there any solution for this?

Edit:
If any person with technical knowledge about this topic reads this, please help me
It´s very urgent to geht the plugin run without internet connection

Just throwing this out there, but the web player is soon to be unsupported. If it’s a bug in the player itself I would be surprised if it’s going to be fixed. Might be worth spending your time looking at the WebGL functionality instead.
