If all else fails - Reformat your computer.
I know it sucks, but if that doesn’t work, you just need a new computer, because something to do with Hardware must not be supported.
I know it would make me feel bad if my computer couldn’t handle it, but, it is what it is I suppose.
But I really hope a reformat helps.
You could try on a friend or families computer just to see if it works for them.

had same problem last month, it eventually worked after few hours… (firefox)
I see a bright future in IT support for you.
I got told to do this once when my internet wouldnt work. I hung up, called back, got someone with more than half a brain cell who reset my internet password and solved the problem.
Installation of software doesn’t require compatible hardware (generally)… if he said it was crashing on start-up, reformat might be a reasonable solution.
First thing I would do is delete internet cache, clear it all out, make sure there’s nothing hanging around.
Then I would make sure all OS updates are installed.

LOL, Thank the lord I’m not an IT Support Person lol.
I don’t claim to be one, just know if I ever had a problem with an installer not working, if it is something I really want, that’s worth reformatting, id do it, and it would work lol.

Do you have trouble with any other downloads? Might an issue with your connection.
Maybe try downloading one of the patch releases from here: Download Archive and if it still fails compare the file size and checksums (listed at the bottom of the release notes).

hi pretty sure connection is not issue I downloaded other things all is ok and other programs
I actually completed the unity downloads but installing them is when error comes up
is it maybe because I have a old version of unity in my old windows files?
tried saving the download to a different location?
Seems like an odd issue. A download manager may be your only option if its not downloading completely

I made a little edit to my post saying you should also compare the installer file size.
No, another Unity installation wouldn’t interfere like that.
