Hello, this is my 1st post, and I am really glad and proud to becoming a part of the Unity community. I really admire not only the capabilities of this software, but also the support that this forum is for developers. I will be really glad when in some time I too will be in the position of helping others with scripting advice and so on.
So, me and my sister have been freelance 3d artists for 5 years and have decided to develop (primarily) iOS games with Unity. We have already done a lot of reading and practice the last month, trying to get used to the Unity interface and Java Script. I have registered as Apple Developer and downloaded installed Unity (the free version, I plan to purchase Unity Pro and Unity iOS Pro in the following days) and the latest iOS SDK from developer.apple.com.
The reason I am posting for this first time, is that I cannot find a post/thread/webpage that summarizes the steps to creating and publishing an iOS app with Unity. What I have the most trouble understanding, is the relation between working with Unity and working with Xcode. Till now, I believe that one has to build the app in Unity and then import (?) it from Xcode and re-build (??) it from there, but really all this look very blurry to me (I understand that I probably am using really wrong words to describe the procedure…).
Having read many many posts in this forum, I still have no clue regarding the Unity - Xcode relationship.
I do not want anybody to spend time answering things that are so basic, I just need someone to provide me with a link (if such a thing exists) that summarizes the procedure.
Thanks a lot!
Alexis
